Marta Stella is a Milan-based journalist and author.
After a long experience in Hearst Magazines, i-D Magazine for Vice Group and different Condé Nast pubblications, her works appears on italian leading weekly magazine 7 Corriere della Sera and the literary supplement Review of italian newspaper Il Foglio.
Professional journalist at the National Guild of Journalist in Rome, she has been curator of “Women in Film” section at Milano Fashion Film Festival and she worked in the board of Sguardi Altrove International Women’s Film Festival in Milan.
She covered the Covid19 pandemic in Italy with a short film for The New Yorker, with director Elettra Fiumi selected by Documentary Short Film Festival in Los Angeles/Toronto, and by New York International Film Awards.
“Clandestine. Il romanzo delle donne” (Bompiani) is her first novel. Nominated for the Io Donna Award for Women’s Literature by the renowned Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, nominated for the Edoardo Kihlgren Award for Literature Debuts and the “Della Resistenza” Literary Award dedicated to works that combine literary values and civil commitment, the rights of “Clandestine” have now been acquired for the film market.
